Arlin Burley "Rusty" Russell, 86, of Latonia, KY formerly of Strawberry Plains, TN passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020. He was born and raised in the Southwestern mountains of Virginia, and proudly called himself a country boy. At an early age Arlin became a truck driver. He was a founding member of the Jefferson City Christian Church in Jefferson City, TN., a member of the Clay Masonic Lodge # 386 in Church Hill, TN and the Scottish Rite. Arlin reveled in the natural beauty of North America, his favorite being East Tennessee where he and his wife, Diane settled in Strawberry Plains. He was a natural storyteller and whether weaving a tale or picking a tune, he enjoyed entertaining friends and family. Arlin had a kind and generous heart that shared goodness with anyone who came into his life. He was preceded in death by his parents: Burley and Roxie Russell; loving wife: Diane Kay (Stubbendeck) Russell; twin daughters: Kristy and Misty Russell and numerous family members and friends. Arlin is survived by his daughter: Karis Russell; sisters: Emmy Dittie and Judy Bowen as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. Interment will take place at Gray Cemetery in Gray, TN. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia, KY is serving the family.
