Robert "Bob" M. Smiley, 81, of Edgewood, KY passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. He was of the Catholic faith, an Air Force Veteran and a retired self-employed accountant. Bob enjoyed woodworking, was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and camping and was a huge UK Basketball fan. He was preceded in death by his sister: Patricia Smiley. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 58 1/2 years: Rita Diana Cassidy Smiley; children: Mark (Paula) Smiley, Karen (Mike) Ewing, Kirk Smiley and Eric (Jessica) Smiley; sister: Sandra Raabe and 13 grandchildren. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Latonia, KY 41015 is serving the family. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Holy Cross Church, 3612 Church Street, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015 from 11:00 AM until the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM (Noon). (Masks and Social Distancing are required.) Inurnment and a Honor Guard service will take place at Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright, KY.
