My sincere condolences to Ed and Carol, and their families. My family lived next door to them at 715 W.33rd ST when they moved from Pennsylvania, and were just young kids. I was out of high school in 1962 before any of them were in high school, but have memories of their entire family. We moved to Las Vegas in 1962, so I never had contact with them after that date. I had not known that Irene eventually married my childhood friend Sid Hyatt. Sid and I were great friends when we lived at 1237 Scott.St before moving to Latonia in 1958. Sadly, I have no one I can tell about Irene's passing because my parents along with my younger brother and sister have all passed as well. My best wishes to Ed and Carol, and may Irene rest in peace.

Carol and Family, I was so sorry to hear of your sister Irene’s passing. What I remember of her in school was her artistic talents and her smile. Later she made beautiful floral arrangements guaranteed. I know she will be missed by you all, but I believe you will be together again. May she rest in peace. My sincere sympathies.

To all Irene’s Dear Family and Friends, I went through Holy Cross grade school and High School with her. She was a very kind talented person. I enjoyed a lengthy conversation with Irene a few years ago when we were at our 50 year Reunion! I’m so happy to have had that opportunity! God bless all of you🙏. Bev Sanders Behne

I became friends with Irene in high school and we were very close in our younger years. Although I saw her rarely in recent times, when we spoke it seemed as though no time had passed. Irene was a very special person with unlimited gifts, not the least of which were her artistic talents, her intelligence, and her razor-sharp wit. The world has lost a lovely lady and a beautiful soul.

Hi, my name is Lucy Steioff Baker. I have known Irene most of my life and her passing has left me with a great sorrow. Irene and I went through grade school and high school together. As a child I lived on West 33rd Street also. I have always considered her to be one of my dearest friends. Your loss is also mine. She was a great person and I will always remember her as a special person in my life.
