Melvin "Mel" Henry Grout, Jr., 89, of Taylor Mill, KY, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024. He was a member of Redemption Church Ashland Avenue in Covington, KY. Mel was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired machinist with Stacy Manufacturing in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents: Melvin and Virginia Grout, Sr. and siblings: Frank, Laura, Ron and Harry. Mel is survived by his loving wife of 68 years: Frances Grout; daughters: Lisa (Jeff) Schmidt and Susan (Ray) Evans; siblings: John, Fred, Gary and Michael; grandchildren: Ashley Heaps, Jeremy Greer and Erika Petrie and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place at Redemption Church Ashland Avenue, 2735 Ashland Avenue, Latonia, KY 41015 on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM (Noon).
