Linda Leigh Moloney, affectionately known as "Lindy" to family and friends passed away from Leukemia at the age of 57 on April 10th, 2024. Lindy joins her parents Billie and Betty Waddell in heaven along with her big sister Cindy Lynn. In childhood Lindy always had a big personality and never knew a stranger. She would listen to others with an undiscerning eye, keen ears, and a kind heart. After graduating from Dixie Heights Highschool in 1985, Lindy married her best friend Pat Moloney Sr. and found her purpose in the three greatest loves of her life: daughters Erica Moloney, Lindsey (Tyler) Barger (nee Moloney), and son, Patrick Moloney (Faith Gottenberg). Lindy's magnetic personality and magnificent voice lit up a room. She spoke her mind and marched to the beat of her own drum. Lindy had a close relationship with God and knew the importance of family, unconditional love, and the power of forgiveness. She was a member of the Community Family Church in Independence, KY and often did prison outreach. Later in life, Lindy was blessed with three grandchildren Preston, Easton, and Danleigh. She was a grandmother who was strikingly beautiful with a boisterous laugh, and a zest for life. Lindy is also survived by a multitude of brothers and sisters; Becky Rogers (Jim), Kristy Molony (Marty), Billy Waddell (Stefanie), Nancy Kendall (Shane), Jeffrey Waddell and Hannah Rosevear (Christian) as well as her brother-in-law Mark Sorrell (Cindy) and many nieces and nephews. Lindy also leaves behind her beloved dogs, who brought her comfort and peace throughout her journey in life. Please join us in celebrating Lindy's life... Visitation will take place on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 9:30 AM until the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. To Linda's precious family, my heart aches for the loss of such a beautiful soul. I had just spoken with her months ago when she wanted me to do a random trip road trip to see Lou Lou as she called her, for only a couple of days. I was unable to go and now I'll have regrets missing out on what would've been my last adventure with her. Linda was such a bright light in my life. Her friendship came during a time in my life when I needed that positive energy and light. My daughter Kayla and Erica spent a lot of time together during that time and I grew to love her like a sister. We've stayed in touch through the years, and I was aware she had some medical concerns, but nothing prepared me for this. You think you have all the time in the world, but in reality, tomorrow holds no promises. I know her faith in God was strong and I know she'll be watching over all of her loved ones and friends as well as all the little fur babies on Earth. Life is a journey for us all and not the destination. I'm so glad I got to be a part of Linda's journey. She is with the angels and I know, her star will forever shine bright in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. I'll miss her very much! Sending out much love, light and prayers to her family and friends.
