Charles Earl Urlage, age 85 of Independence, KY passed away on Sat., July 28, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Hospice in Ft. Thomas, KY. He had worked with the City of Covington as a License Inspector, after the City he was a Salesman with Best Furniture in Ft. Thomas, KY, after that he became the weekend Building Supervisor at Redwood School which included operating Bingo, was a member of American Legion Post # 203, a Legionnaire, Kentucky Colonel, Kentucky Admiral, Owner and Operator of the former Urlage Liquor & Deli on Pike and Scott Streets from 1965 until 1973, a Projectionist at Madison & Liberty Theatres, a Milkman for 11 years and a Manager with Nationwide Insurance in his early years. An Army Veteran during W.W.II. and a member of St. Cecilia Church. Charles is survived by his Daughters: Barbara Ann Bennett of Mooreland, IN and Sharlene (John) Cross of Independence, KY; Sons: Timothy (Karen) Urlage of Mooreland, IN and Kevin Urlage of Abilene, TX; Sisters: Helen Urlage & Bettejean Urlage both of Covington, KY; Brother: Father Robert Urlage of Covington, KY; 11 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. The Visitation will be on Tues., July 31, 2012 at Holy Cross Church 3612 Church Street Latonia, KY 41015 from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON. Interment and an Honor Guard Service in Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright, KY. Memorials to: Redwood School & Rehabilitation Center 71 Orphanage Road Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.
