Scottie Sudduth Snyder, age 91, of Latonia, KY passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Health Care in Edgewood, KY. She was a member of the Holy Cross Parish and a 1939 graduate of Holmes High School and retired from the I.R.S. in Covington, KY as a tax examiner. Scottie loved music and enjoyed traveling around the world, she found delight in collecting mementos from her journeys, which included musical instruments and stamps. She found many dear friends and made countless memories. She was preceded in death by her Husband: Walter Douglas Snyder (2003) and Sister: Virginia Sudduth Thomas. Scottie is survived by her Daughter: Carole Hart Snyder of Columbus, OH; Niece: Judi (John) Beal, Jr. of Mount Morris, MI; Grandchildren: Matthew Glaser, Caroline (Karl) Thyen, Nathaniel Glaser and Jennifer (Michael Dennis) Spurlock; 8 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Holy Cross Church in Latonia, KY on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 9 AM until Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright, KY. In lieu of flowers the family asks all Memorial Contributions be made to Holy Cross Church Restoration Fund 3612 Church Street Latonia, KY 41015. I am so very sorry to hear of Scottie’s passing. I worked with her at IRS and grew to admire her greatly. What a remarkable woman she was. The world will be a sadder place now that she is gone.
