Alice Smith (nee) Goetz, 94, of Covington, KY, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018. She was a dedicated homemaker and a long time volunteer with St. Elizabeth Hospital Thrift Shop. Alice enjoyed Quilting and shelling on Sanibel Island. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Dr. Robert E. Smith; sister: Mabel and brothers: Bob, Earl and Boo. Alice is survived by her daughters: Sandy (The Late: Jim) Champlin, Maribeth (Stan) Gilreath and Barb (Ron) Baute; son: Chuck Smith; grandchildren: Jimmy (Sarah) Champlin, Chris (Ri Tu) Champlin, Sean Baute and Shannon Baute and her loving St. Charles Community Family. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Church, 3612 Church Street, Latonia, KY 41015. Interment: Mother of God Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Dr. Robert E. Smith Scholarship Fund C/O Thomas More College Development Office or to St. Charles Community.
