Boyd “Cowboy” Houston, 86, of Taylor Mill, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017. He worked as a tool temperer for the former Cincinnati Milacron and was a longtime member of the Colonel Clay Masonic Lodge #159 F.&A.M. Cowboy collected antique trucks and he enjoyed frequenting flea markets, looking for antiques, fishing and spending time with his family. Cowboy enjoyed people and living life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his parents: Tyra and Mary Houston; his first wife: Naomi Jean Houston and his second wife: Alice Houston; brothers: Posey Houston, Cecil Houston, Eldon Houston, Preston Houston and Clayton Houston and sister: Lorrain Stewart. Cowboy is surivived by his companion: Barb Lakes; daughter Carole (Gordy) Dunn; sons: Eddie (Linda) Houston and Charlie (Donna) Houston; brother: Elwood Houston; grandchildren: Chris, Troy, Todd, Brandee, Christopher and Bradley; 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015 from 10:30 A.M. until a Masonic Service beginning at 12:30 P.M. The funeral service will immediately follow. Entombment: Floral Hills. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017. Cowboy was a real gentleman and very interesting to talk to . I never saw him in I bad mood, a real pleasure to work with. My condolences to the family.
