Rachel, I am so sorry for your loss. Chris was such a wonderful friend. He was my boss for 3 years of my 6 years at Remke's. Chris was more than a boss, more than a friend, he was always concerned about his employees, and even after I left Remke's, I still went up to see him. We always talked about his job, my job, and as always, asked me to come back. I had so much respect for him. I will always be grateful that God put Chris in my life. I will miss him terribly, he was such a wonderful person. And he was so proud of his boys, always talked about them, and You! He once told me, without you, he would be lost. Chris made such an impact on my life, I will never forget his encouraging words to me about my health. I am so proud to have called Chris my friend, no matter what, he always took time out for me to talk whenever I came in the store. May God help you thru your time of need Rachel, and God Bless you.

May God Bless Chris. He was a wonderful Co Worker and colleague to work with when I worked at TAYLOR Mill Remke, Chris was the grocery manager and then the assistant store manager. When I moved on to another Grocer, me and Chris kept in contact, specifically around the holidays where he always enjoyed getting my annual Christmas cards. I also ran into Chris at Goodtimers II in Latonia his favorite hang out. Rachel, Griffin, Zach, Grant, and Owen you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

It is rare to stay in with elementary school friends at my age but especially when those friends went to a different high school.(And even more so when that person is a Duke fan😉-Chris would have appreciated that I said that- we ALWAYS shared playful banter and memes, me being a UK fan). Chris was one of the most genuine persons I've met. It was through Chris (and FB) that I 'met' Rachel. I dont think I have seen a cuter couple- nor met a kinder person in Rachel- so Chris, thank you. Your humor and kindness will be missed by many.

Blessed to have been a friend of Chris. We both worked with him through our Thriftway days. Tony worked with him again through Remke. Very lucky that we were able to visit him about a month ago at his Turfway store. His smile was contagious. He was an amazing man. Will be missed. Prayers to all family and friends. 🙏🤗

Chris spent endless days in my backyard when we were kids. It was either basketball , wiffle ball , wrestling, playing football or just hanging out. We had lost touch after graduation but social media put us back in touch several years ago and we picked up where we left off ( talking trash about each other’s favorite teams…me UK him Duke of course) He was a good friend and I will miss him and our conversations. Rest Easy Chris.

I knew Chris through business. I'm a vendor who serves Remke. Chris and I became friends through the years and it was great doing business with him. He looked out for my business as I did for his stores. We were the same age and he had his 1st heart attack almost 1 year, to the day, before I had mine! We had much in common. He had a great sense of humor and had a huge heart! He will be missed greatly! His joy will always be to his bride and boys. His family was his world. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all.
