DONALD (DON) E. FRODGE, age 56, died suddenly while vacationing in Florida with his family on Friday, June 28, 2013. Born in Latonia, Kentucky, January 12, 1957. He is preceded in death by his parents: Paul E. Frodge and Margaret Elizabeth Collopy Frodge. Don is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Margaret (Meg) Frodge (nee) Balasa; three sons: Paul (Michelle) Frodge, Chris (Felicia) Frodge and Bob (Brittany) Frodge; brothers: Tim (Charlene) Frodge, Denny (Brenda) Frodge and Bruce (Donna) Frodge; sister: Jane Levermann, six grandchildren: Emma, Caitlyn, Lauren, Miley, Joey and Aubrey & Father-in-law: Joe Balasa. Don was the owner/operator of Summit Meats located in Anderson Township, Ohio where he used his creativity and wonderful people skills to create a neighborhood butcher shop and deli that is loved by all of the local people in that area. He was a devoted family man, with a love of country music, singing, grilling, entertaining and traveling with his wife. He was a former Lay director of Curcillo Movement and a 1975 Graduate of Holy Cross High School. Visitation will be held at St. Pius X Church 348 Dudley Road Edgewood, KY 41017, on Saturday, July 6, 2013 from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial begins at 12 Noon. A private Christian burial will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Mother of God Cemetery. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Donald E. Frodge Memorial Fund c/o any Huntington Bank. I was extremely shocked and saddened to hear about Don’s passing. He was the friendliest, most gracious person to deal with. He did wonders with his store and took great pride in it. He will be so missed. Our thoughts are with you.
