Frank Lawrence "Larry" Eilers, 66, of Latonia, KY, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. He was a member of Holy Cross Parish and a 1976 graduate of Holy Cross High School. In his earlier years, Larry worked for Zumbiel Packaging Company, was a certified electrician and retired as a mail clerk with the IRS. He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, enjoyed tinkering with cars, listening to classic rock music and enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. Larry was preceded in death by his parents: Frank "Bud" and Rose Mary Eilers and son: Frank Joseph Eilers. He is survived by his daughter: Leann (Louie) Wright; siblings: Philip (Sharon) Eilers, Kenneth "Bird" (the late Deborah "Scooter") Eilers, Thomas (Joyce) Eilers, Mary (Kevin) Dallas and Jennifer (Ken) Harnist; grandchildren: Nathanael, Gabriel and Andrew; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of lifelong friends especially, Donna and Bob Fizer. Visitation will take place at Holy Cross Church, 3612 Church Street, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015 on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill, KY. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia, KY is serving the family. Memorials are suggested to: Holy Cross Church. I went to grade school and high school with Frank (I always remember him as Frank) at Holy Cross and played grade school basketball with him. I remember him well and that he was a real nice guy. I am sorry to hear of his passing and extend my sympathies to his family. May he rest in peace.
