George J. Shull, 82 of Florence, KY went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 11, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY. George was born on July 2, 1941 in Beattyville, KY. He was a member of Kento-Boo Baptist Church in Florence, KY. George was a member of Teamsters Union Local 100. His first job was a bicycle messenger for Western Union. The rest of his career was spent as a long-haul truck driver. George was a Deacon for decades and a Sunday School Teacher for many years in the Baptist faith. George loved the Lord and his motto was "If you know the Lord, you will see me again". He is preceded in death by his loving parents: Johnny and Juanita Shull; siblings: Leaunia Shull, Margie Stephens, John Shull, Debbie Johnston, and Kenneth Shull. George cherished his family; he is survived by his loving wife of 60 years: Elaine Shull; children: Clayton (Debbie) Shull, Gina (Michael) White, and Steven (Stephanie) Shull; grandchildren: Lynae (Daniel) Carpenter, Austin Sebastian, Alec Sebastian, Derek (Meredith) White; great grandchildren known to George as his "sugar babies": Rorie-Ann, Emma, Olyvia, Lillie-Mae, Franklin, and Grayson; brother: David (Diana) Shull; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will take place on Thursday, August 17th, 2023 from 10:00AM until the time of Funeral Service at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Kento-Boo Baptist Church, 634 Kentaboo Avenue, Florence, KY 41042. Interment to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill, KY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in George's name to Kento-Boo Baptist Church.
