James "Jim" Lee McGraw, 88, of Covington, KY, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict, obtaining the rank of PFC. Jim was a member of St. Patrick Church in Taylor Mill, KY. He retired from the production department of Ralston Purina Company. Jim enjoyed golf and was a starter at Kenton County Golf Course. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jim especially enjoyed the family gatherings at their family swimming pool. His wife Alma started a tradition of baking Christmas cookies. Jim kept this tradition alive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Willa McGraw; wife: Alma J. Harmeling McGraw; siblings: Clara Callis, Harold McGraw, Helen Fisk, Dorothy Glenn, Robert McGraw, Anne Soudrette; twin-sister: Janet Lillard and grandchildren: Riley Gastright and Maurice Summers. Jim is survived by his children: Theresa (Michael) Gastright, Tony (Kim) McGraw, Danny (Carol) McGraw and James D. McGraw Gosney; grandchildren: Bethany (Casey) Flick, Tyler (Jamie) Gastright, Samantha McGraw (Adrian), Blair (Michael) Hicks, Casey (Matt) Thompson, Shelbie (Steven) Summers, Alex McGraw (Deanna) and Mallory McGraw (Adam); great-grandchildren: Elliot Flick, Stella Flick, Natalie Flick, Cooper Gastright, Peyton Gastright, Emmy Summers, Tucker Summers and numerous others. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM (Noon) at St. Patrick Church, 3285 Mills Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. Interment and an Honor Guard service will follow at Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright, KY. Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick Church, 3285 Mills Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015.
