Phillip Wayne Connell, Jr., 44, of Covington, KY passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, KY. Phil was the owner/operator of Connell Creations Landscaping. He was the NKU women's bowling coach for the last 5 years and he led them to the 2021 Ohio Bowling Conference Championship. He was also the Women's Club Bowling Coach of the Year for 2021. Phil bowled numerous perfect 300 games and worked at HITTS Pro Shop. He was also a Radical Bowling Technologies staff member for over ten years. He loved racing at Florence Speedway in his red #8 pure stock Camaro race car. Phil also loved taking his family on vacations to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Phil is survived by his daughter: Amanda (Joey Stevens) Connell; parents: Phil and Debbie Connell, Sr.; lifelong companion: Debbi Crowe; and grandcats: Maverick, Sammy, Sonny, and Taco. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM until the time of Eulogy Service at 6:00 PM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue. Sorry for you loss. Phil was a great man. He drilled my son Zach's bowling balls and showed him a thing or two. He will be missed. Fly high Phil and keep bowling those 300's.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember passing phil at different college tournaments. I had a few friends on nku team and he always so welcoming when I come down to say hi.
