Vernon "Ed" Edward Huber, 88, of Fort Wright, KY, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, serving from 1954-1956. Ed was a former member of St. Mark United Church of Christ in Latonia, KY, and a 1954 graduate of Covington Holmes High School. He retired as an engineer from the former L&N Railroad, now CSX. After retirement, Ed was an usher with the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, Xavier Musketeers and other sporting events. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years: Diane Huber; children: Jeff (Kathy) Huber, Cindy (Lance) Kist, Cory (Vickie) Huber and Kelley (Jack) Collins; sister: Michelle (Ernie) Parton; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Interment with Honor Guard Services will follow at Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY. Memorials are suggested to any Veterans Service Organization.
